Whenever we take a road trip we always take a cooler with water and soft drinks, fruit, and pack our own lunch so we don't have to eat fast food. We plan our stops at rest areas to eat lunch. If you change drivers every two hours or just stop and walk around for 10 minutes or so you will arrive more rested. You can get radio pretty good all the way down I-95, but it will be more pleasant if you take your own music CD's or tapes.

ok I see you complication! i trip from Greensboro, NC to Toledo, OH with my 2 boys who have been 4 and a couple of final time we took the trip. read the signs for south of the border as you head down 95 to south carolina, some of them are real funny. Don't speed in the south unless you like paying tickets. even with a decent car it is cost effective to belong to AAA. Good Luck
