they hurt really bad until you build up a callous on them. so its gonna hurt the first couple of times, then you wont even notice anymore

i don't play the guitar so i wouldn't know but i play the violin and after a while the fingers on my left hand start to hurt from holding down the strings.

nope years of playing has given me very thick calloused fingers
