I think that people have to know how to handle being sensitive. You cannot solve other people's problems, you can only solve your own. The best you can do is listen.
That being said, most people say, "Don't be so sensitive" after they have said something insensitive. They would like you to just put up with their insensitivity rather than trying hard to phrase their comments i a more understanding way or just keeping quiet.
I know this problem goes two ways. Many people do things that are not in their own best interests in the long term, but are beneficial in the short term, then complain when they suffer the consequences. When they tell their "friends", the arm-chair quarterbacks, the friends can't help but say something that says, "Anyone could have seen that coming."
So, be sensitive, but remember, people make mistakes and many people just need someone to listen, not someone to solve their problems.

What do you mean when you say "sensitive"? Do you take everything personally and react? It's hard to answer when it's not clear what you mean but I will make an attempt. Sensitive can be a good thing, it merely means you are paying attention to someone or something, as in "sensitive to what they are saying or doing. The only time something is not good is when it results in negative consequences. It's really that simple. Determining if consequences are negative is not so easy though, due to denial.

Not at all. I am very sensitive. I hate it. I model as a living apart from other business es but at times when I am sitting with the big boss if something is wrong I nearly end in tears. Its just that we have a soul in us and when that soul is not really there people end up like animals... enjoy being sensitive it shows you are humane and have a heart

To be sensitive is a positive trait but to be in-sensitive is a negative trait. You could be sensitive about what you say and do, you could be sensitive about what you eat and dress, you could be sensitive about your career, you could be sensitive about your family. If you are sensitive to these general traits you are a sensible person. On the other hand if you are in-sensitive to these traits you will make a bad company and people will think twice for making you a friend.

Being sensitive to other's feelings is never a bad thing but being too sensitive to being slighted by others can interfer with interpersonal relationships. Sometimes one has to just let things roll off and not take life so personally.

To an extent being sensitive is difficult. But you can make it work for you too. You can see things others don't and be that much ahead. Here is a good book to read on the subject----

There's a difference between being sensitive and being touchy, and being sensitive and weeping through tender feelings.
The old 'sensitives' were rainmakers, tree-worshipers, shamans and witches. Nothing wrong with them. You obviously have something there that could be useful? It's worth finding out.

it's not a bad thing, as long as you are in control.
I think being sensitive is a positive thing, because most sensitive people are very nice.
But also very fast hurt, and that's a negative point.
being sensitive won't ruin you, it's others who will do that if you are not careful
