atts,
My dreamcatcher was given to me by a Denii (Navajo).

I was not having bad dreams. I was having dreams that did not belong to me.

Since I hung the dreamcatcher by my bed, I have had none of those weird realistic dreams starring a stranger.

I did not really use this site as a source; it may have some interesting information you would like to know.

A Dreamcatcher is in the shape of a Spider's Web as they say the Spider weaves the web of life...

It should be hung at the entrance of the tepee or room, failing that by a window, it is believed that bad dreams will get caught and trapped in the web before they can get to you.

They should be small and shaped like a tear.

It a Dreamcatcher. So, you hang it above your bed over your head. At night when you Dream it will catch your dreams. Bad dreams are caught in the web and burned up by the sun. Good dreams trickle down the Feathers and drip back into your head.

You should hang it somewher close to where you sleep. It is said that the dream catcher will catch the bad dreams that have been sent by the evil spirits, but you will have to try it for yourself to see if it works for you.
