Don't be nervous! I got mine when I was 12. It wasn't bad you just find a little blood in your underwear. The symptoms are cramps, and bloating. The signs you will get your period are pubic hair, underarm hair, cramps, BO, discharge, and breat development. Good luck!

Um i got mine at a really young age, too young if you ask me. I was 9 and a half years of age. Since im now 22 i only vaguely remember a few symptoms. You get cramps, bad abdominal pain, bloatedness and more moodiness than usual. From what i can remember the cramps are usually the first sign. I can remember screaming running down the hallway when i got mine, cause my mum didnt have the "talk" with me lol i was a maniac. One thing I don't get is why all the other girls at school had big boobs and developed their boobs before i did, i never even hardly had any. I still dont have much, i have some now of course lol. They get a bit bigger as you get older, sometimes it takes a bit longer than what it takes other women. It still sucks that i went through puberty so early and got my periods, yet didnt develope the breasts. Im still unhappy with the fact they are small, not really small but small. Hopefully i maybe getting a boob job a bit later to fix that. I get reallly bad cramps even now every month, the only thing that cures it though is nurofen plus and a nice hot bath. Pretty soon i am going on the pill, which actually stops you from having cramps and also you only have a light period each month- not as heavy.

Anyways, even though i was too young to be getting them, its nothing to be scared about, we are all women. We just have to deal with it. It's not easy being a woman thats for sure =). As i always say, men have it real easy compared to us. They don't have to go through anything, which is unfair.

I also always have used pads and not tampons, tampons are Ok if you know how to use them correctly, cause you can get something from them if you dont put them in right. For
gotten what its called, but if you ask a close friend or close relative they will tell you, they should know =).

I hate periods, their the most awful things! I honestly can't wait til i reach my 50's and 60's. Bring on the menopause!(when they stop permanantly woohhoo lol)

It is a bit nerve wrecking when you discover you first get them, its even more nerve wrecking if mothers dont give the "talk" cause you don't know what the hell is going on lol. So its always good to be informed.

You'll be right, its all part of being a woman. Only us women understand how hard and annoying these things are lol.

It's just one of those things to be prepared for when you least expect it.

Hope I have helped in some way.
All the best,
Terri.

I started when I was 11. And I think the more processed and chemical-filled food you eat, you will start your period sooner. It's a theory...but I really think it's a good one. I try to get my little girl to eat whole foods often so she doesn't start so soon. So, I'll see if my theory works with her.

I don't remember ANY symptoms. Except I was more emotional than normal--THAT I do remember! I cried a lot for some reason. But when you first start your period, how are you to know they are menstrual symptoms? You don't. I had a classmate who wore a white skirt to school one day. She stood up from her chair and SHOCKINGLY had red ALL over the back of her skirt! Of all the colors in the world to wear-she wore white. She had NO indication other than I remember her telling me her nipples were burning bad before she started her period. I hope it helps.

First intervals come once they come. I do not believe discharge is a signal of it coming, however this can be a signal of pH and hormonal alterations. If your ingredients are turn out to be itchy and the release turns into "chunky" and pungent, you'll have a yeast contamination. 14 is not overdue, I had my first one per week after my thirteenth birthday and each person is exceptional. If you're concerned in any respect, you must move speak to a gynecologist (a health care provider in particular for females). Your mother, aunt, older female friend, grandmother, or any lady quite can endorse one to you. Pretty a lot all ladies have a gyno. And the gyno can reply any questions you have got larger than individuals on the web can.

I started one day after my 10th birthday, how's that for early. Maybe a little cramping was my symptom. This isn't personal, only a start of what's to come in life dear. Don't be nervous it happens to all of us! Just be prepared.

I was 11 and I really don't remember any symtoms. But after that I had back pain and headaches. Five years later I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis. So I have had lots of pain with my periods. My period has seemed to have been the root of all the pain I have had in my life. It causes physical and mental pain. I sure wish Eve would not have ate that apple! Damn her!
