I have battle for midearth 1 and i'm trying to play it on a 2.2 ghz laptop with 256 mb memory and 7500 ATI video card. It says make sure your hardware acceleration is up (mine is) and it says I may not have the proper video card, but the requirements are ATI 7500. Why won't it play?

Well first make sure you've got DirectX 9 installed.

It may not be the video chipset that's the problem- I suspect it's insufficient memory. 256mb of RAM is very little these days, and it's possible your onboard ATI video is using some of that.

I would double-check the game's other requirements, and look into adding 512mb to your existing memory.
