Yes, they are out of touch with the people, and lately they seem to be out of touch with reality.

Our government is out of touch with everybody. Why? Because they are not seeing in our economy the truth. How many people do you know that drive BMW's and Mercedes Benz autos? How many have boats, two homes and 2.5 kids? Why does it take two incomes to pay for a pseudolife to show the neighbors what you have? Why is there so much, "I have to keep up with the Joneses"?
They actually think ALL Americans want the immigration reform bill passed. They actually think that we WANT to be involved in a war we didn't have plan A for and a war we cannot win. If these are what our politicians think, then they are really Beavis and Butt-Head!

They couldn't fire a rocket and hit any where near the feelings of the American people, nor do they really care they instead try and twist the feelings of the people toward what is good for government.
