The message it says is..."unsupported cartridge". But I just purchased the cartridge, and it is the right one. And yes I took the sticker off it. Any suggestions as to what I can do to get it working?

I'm sorry, it will scan & nothing else. It is a lexmark X2470. I bought it off ebay refurbished in box. The ink cartridge(it only takes one) is brand new because it does not come with one.

Hi my name is Vikram. I am working in Lexmark Technical support.
SO u said that u got a new lexmark AIO printer.Congratulations!
OK now u said that u cannot get it to fax.and u cannot copy anything. and also u said that it gives an error msg.unsupported cartridge..But u didnt says which lexmark AIO u've got.
so no problem i will give u general TS steps.
take out the cartridges and insert only one cartridge at a time.try black ink cart first.
and tried to make a copy.if u get error msg then black ink cart is defective if u dont get an error msg take out the black ink cart and insert color ink cart and tried to make a copy...if u get an error msg.then color ink cart is defective...in this method u will come to know which cart is giving u error msg..
And even u can also clean the Electricals contact of the Carts...

If the printer is NEW and the cartridge is also new (did it not come with one in the box with it?) than call lexmark support and complain or take it back from whence it came,

That is after all the purpose of a warranty on new products.

But it sounds like either it is NOT the right cartridge, or it's not inserted correctly

Maybe even just the trouble shooting section.

uninstall the software and install it again if stil cannot, pls contact your supplier
