Did she mention Lee Phillip Bell, the other co-creator of the show who is still alive? I missed it. But I will not excuse her for being nervous and forgetting stuff because since Bill Bell's death she has fired several of the writers and producers that have been around since the 80's like Kay Alden who was head writer while Bell was alive and John Smith a co-exec producer while Bell was alive and named solo executive producer when he passed.
Recently she fired Edward J. Scott (also Melody Scott's aka Nikki's husband) a long time co-exec producer since the 80's. Somehow Latham was named Executive producer and headwriter in 2006 and Kay Alden and John Smith became co-writer's before she fired them. It's funny how Kay Alden was chosen by Bill Bell to take over his role as head writer but when he dies she gets knocked down to co-headwriter and then gets fired. Latham was only a creative consultant prior to Bell's death and only had been working for Y&R a short while. Every since she became the Executive Producer and Head Writer she has been the center of controversy mostly do to her shake-ups and storyline changes at Y&R. The show has traditionally been known for its character-driven storytelling, however, Latham has been known to favor a more plot-driven style. Now that said, maybe this is the reason she didn't mention Bell. She was actually a nothing on the show until he died.
PS: Most all of the shows that Latham has written for in the past have been cancelled except for Knots Landing.

Yes it was very wrong, especially since he just won a Lifetime Achievement Award. I don't really care for Lynn Marie Latham that much. I think she likes to have control of the show.

I was thrilled with the win Y & R is my favorite. I tape it everyday, I also tape GL 2 or 3 times a week
As for her speech, she was excited and happy and thrilled and nervous and probley told to hurry up so that they wouldnt go over on time. I did like how she said he lives on in his sons. A very nice tribute
so no not odd or neglectful from my point of view. If it were me accepting something I probley would have forgot my own name.

i assumed it replaced into super, yet am unhappy that it took this long for her to get an Emmy. She is a huge actress and would have been referred to as any such long term in the past! i admire her as Katherine Chancellor and no possible do it extra appropriate than she!

Bill Bell is no longer a part of the show, maybe that's why his name was not mentioned.

she referred to him, not by name, but by mentioning the "Bell legacy" and how it lives on through his sons (funny, how she didn't mention Lauralee Bell though, LOL), that was her way of paying tribute to the man who created Y&R.
