When you're at your threshold of absolute insanity and are chained to your miseries by the flesh, would you do it? Why or why not?

I would not
As I believe you are here to face certain challenges in life
And if you don't make that challenge and you cut you life short
Well your soul has to come back and go through the same if not a worst situation to accomplish that challenge

Love & Blessings

Well, essentially it is. I mean everyones going to die one way or the other. No matter how long or fabulous someones life is eventually the physical body is just going to be just a pile of bones. Suicide is just getting right to the point...speeding things up.

But you might miss out on a few things.

I been in some tough predicaments ( wow I bet I spelled that one wrong) and considered it, however I finally came to realize that I can control my happiness and found that living wasn't so bad. There are some believe that your emotional output actually controls the environment around you. Being happy living is truly a mental state. I've met bums with nothing that are happier then upper class snobs. There's a cool movie called "what the "bleep" do we know" You should see it. I'd totally recommend it- I'm pretty sure its at blockbuster.

So at this point, there's no way I'd do it

Suicide is a bet that things are intolerably bad and won't get appreciably better.

Sometimes, that's a good bet.

But many times, people are in a "valley" and cant' see what lies ahead. So just as they can't tell what their life is going to be like when they're five years old, the view of the future is incomplete.

On the other hand, there are circumstances when suicide is completely appropriate. People with incurable and painful diseases may have nothing to look forward to but another few months or years of unbearable pain. Under circumstances like that, suicide is a viable and completely rational alternative.

Then there's the advantage of knowing when and how you will die. You may reach a point where you determine you've had enough of life. Ending it on your own terms rather than leaving the time and circumstances to the varguries of fate may be appealing. But be sure to consider whether you're doing so based on imperfect knowledge.

Utlimately, your life is your own to make of it what you will. Eventually, you will die. How and when may or may not be up to you.

Personally, when I get to the point that I can not do the things I enjoy, when circumstances are continually painful and there's no reason to believe it will ever get better, I'd like to think I'd punch my own ticket rather than hang around and rot. But one must be careful that one is not responding to temporary depression.

Definitely not. Because even if you think you got all the problems in the world, it is not the only way to get out of it. You may go and ask somebody for help. That's what family and friends are for. Whatever it is, you should have an open communication with somebody to be able to solve your problem. Ending your life will just make things worse.

Some people have felt that way and I guess if we were in their state of mind we couldn't argue. There are differing degrees of suffering; emotional, physical and psychological and some have reached their thresh-hold. Unfortunately others around them do not always know what they are going through or what they are feeling. That's why we need to take note and help in any way we are able and assist them to relieve their 'pain.' Ultimately, there will always be those who take their own life. As a believer in God, I think only he sees the figurative heart and disquieting mind and will judge righteously.

To some that might seem to be the ultimate way out. But it really isn't the thing to do, no matter what the situation may be. For me I would rather run away, or do my best to fix the situation that's made me feel that bad. I'll always want to live to see another day, and I believe things will get better one way or another.

NO! Nothing in life is so horrible you'd have to kill yourself. Even if you're at your threshold of absolute insanity and are chained to your miseries by the flesh. Think of somebody who has it one billion times worse than you!

No, suicide is terrible. I hope you are not thinking about it. There is always a way out. There must be some family, pet, or special someone out there to help you. Get a job if you don't already have one and you will have a reason to get up every day. Find a hobby or something. Don't ever resort to killing yourself. You may feel that way now but that is just because you are in a rut right now. I promise you that it will get better. And if this isn't about you, and its about a friend or someone loved, tell them this. I hope all works out.

Please don't go for it dudess, i contemplated it a few times then i realised how selfish it would be on my family etc. i still feel that i don't want to live to see my parents die but it would be better that way, for the Japanese people suicide is seen as an honourable act but i see it as a load of s**t. It is the cowardly option for somebody who is not brave enough to face his problems because although suicide will stop all your problems, it will also make things a lot worse for u who is dead and everybody else. If you are guilty of doing something suicide is still not the best way out. If you mean ultimate as in final, then it is, but only for you (or maybe it isn't depending on your religion) but if you mean ultimate as in best then it is far from it. i seriously doubt that u are going to kill ya self but please don't it won't solve anything and you won't be able to live life to the full, you only have one unless you are a Hindu lyk me!

Want to make sure you never solve your problem? Kill your self. It is not a way out, just a cop out. I had a friend who took his life years ago. His wife was devastated and blamed her self. As far as I know she is still seeking professional help. His two kids were left fatherless and were forever after that the kids at school whos dad killed himself. The family was left in shambles.
He copped out. He was such a selfish jerk. He destroyed their lives and left nothing but a mess behind. I really wish there was some way I could find him so I could tell him what I think of what he has done and punch him in the nose.

You have no right to destroy yourself. maybe GOD is testing Your faith? Don't give up, we all may feel that way at points in our life. When I was 17, I wanted out. Someone really hurt Me. Soooo I joined the USN went overseas and forgot all about Her. Folks love you, count on You. Talk to a preacher or a LCSWorker, sometimes a stranger can see the real issues . Freinds and family are too close. Jesus loves you and ask Him for the strength You need. God Bless You
