You want to play music on your PC through your stereo? I don't know the technical name of the cord, but it will have an 1/8" stereo jack on one end and two male RCA plugs on the other. Go to RadioShack and tell them what you want to do. They will sell you the correct cord.

I've done it two ways:

jack-to-jack: headphone out from stereo to mic in on laptop. This allows transfer of vinyl to digital.

jack-to-phono: headphone out from laptop to phono in (aux socket) on stereo. This allows playing from iTunes through the stereo.

audio throught input to you computer from the output to your stereo
