nah, like everyone else said, it just needs a replacement axle ptut in it. I've had my axle shaft replaced twice on my car and it still drives great.

Unless the car is so old, cheap and worthless (like a 1988 Hyundai) that getting the axle replaced isn't worth the cost, then just replace it.

If the damage was caused by impact, likely there are problems. Take it to a frame shop & have inspected.
If it was caused by an overheated bearing or over torque, replace the the worn parts.
