Maybe it is, but both Israel and the USA have their own reasons for domination and conquest of Arab land.
Israel has expanded it's take of land way beyond that originally created. First through warfare, and now through 'Jewish settlements', it's conquest won't end because it wants to push all Palestinians into refugee camps.
Israel is very similar to apartheid South Africa. It drove the Palestinians out of their homes and into refugee camps, and intends to hold them under military occupation indefinitely.
For the USA, the reason is simple, it's oil interests are assured if it can set up pro-American client states in the region. Israel and the USA are natural partners because they both believe that might makes right.

How can a small country with no oil (Or at least none that anyone would pay to have drilled) which depends on us for it's survival manipulate us? The reason we support Israel as we do is that it is the only true free democracy in the area, and the only country we can count on to support us. When we become involved with wars with Muslim nations, it is for our own purposes, not Israel's. Keep in mind that Israel only became involved with the first Gulf War after we invaded, and only then because Saddam attacked Israel in an attempt to get the other Muslim nations to help him. And what benefit could Israel possibly have gained from the current war?

Not directly. Israel has no real power over the US - there isn't some zionist conspiracy. The problem comes when you get conservative crazies like Bush in power who believes that if he starts enough wars in the middle east then the biblical apocalypse will happen.

Of course Israel will continue to be very accomodating to the US in exchange for US aid and unswerving support - as long as the US can use Israel as a base to control the oil producing nations surrounding it. Which is why nobody ever criticises Israel.

I don't think they ae manipulating us to try and "goad" us into a war with Arab countries. Israel is our ally and we will help them if (or should I say when) they are attacked. The Arabs are the ones who seem to be manipulating the situaton by constantly instigating conflict with pretty much everyone around them. They can't even get along with each other as is evidenced by the current events in Gaza. Just like God said in the Old Testament - Ishmael and his decendents:

Genesis 16:12 He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone's hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
toward [a] all his brothers."

Not nearly as much as the Associated Press. Often their stories are chocked full of opinion and few facts. They lead off with a headline and a first paragraph and then immediately shift to a story completely different than the headline and it takes six to eight paragraphs later for them to get back to the original story.
Whenever you read the term "Refugee Camp," substitute town or city. There are planty of descriptives they choose to use that are extremely misleading. You must train your mind to pay attention to the details.
