On the movie "The Blues Brothers" they wrecked over 150 police cars at once.

The biggest car crash in history happened in a tunnel,this accident happened because of a bomb that was planted on a gasoline truck,so it was in the tunnel and you do know there are over 400 cars in there and over 1,000 passengers,then it exploded.
Many cars exploded,there were some survivors but those 400 cars never made it out,as well didn't the approx. 2,000 passengers.
I also heard this bombing had to do with the commotion about the Gulf War or something I'm pretty sure terrorist did this.

On November 3, 1982 in Afghanistan's only road tunnel - the Salang tunnel. A vehicle crashed into a fuel tanker or a munitions truck, the details are unclear as it happened during the Soviet occupation. The resulting explosion and fire caused between 1,000 and 2,000 deaths, mostly from suffocation.

I remember hearing of a freeway pile up a few years back that, because of dense fog, numbered the wrecked vehicles at over 200.
