What is the next decade goung to be called? The Teenies?
In either case, how did people refer to the respective decades in the last century?

in the last century they refered to ought 6 meaning 1906 etc. the following decade was called the teens 19thirteen etc.

Yes that's true, it is called the "noughties" by some people.
I don't know if the next decade will be called the "Teenies" we'll have to wait and see.
Last century we had the 90's, 80's, 70's, 60's, 50's etc.

How about the turn of the 21st century and next, the 2010's? Or the teens.

Yes it is referred to as Noughties , prevous decades were Nineties (90's) , Eighties (80's) Seventies (70's) etc etc

it will all sound normal again when we reach the 2020's.. (20's) noughties sounds stupid, as does teenies..

2010's (stated twenty-tens or 2-thousand & tens). EDIT - Why the thumb-down? there is not any good call for this decade. maximum folk in my journey in simple terms call it the twenty-tens or 2-thousand & tens. <_<
