They could follow the example of the Ottawa Senators and name it after the original Hamilton NHL team, the Hamilton Tigers. They could also keep the Predators name as the Flames did when they moved from Atlanta. I might pick the Hamilton Thunder.

Why would you call them the Rims? Heck the NHL probably wouldn't even agree to the name, and yeah they do have some power over that. I'd say why not leave the name alone. Predator isn't really THAT bad of a name.

Well, "Blackberries" is obvious. However, what if Blackberries are passe ten years from now? But obviously something that ties in with the steel-town image would be appropriate. I think Tigers is out because it would be so confusing.
