He's one of my favorite rappers but he gets no love and very lil air play. Why?

Good question maybe cause rappers just don't get the much deserved air play as other artist.

labels aren't interested in advertising good artists as much as the profitable ones, since those are the only artists people sign now. if devin the dude wanted fame, he would've compromised his creativity and did stupid crossover hits and collabs with all the nonsense artists you see today. he is one of few who actually makes music for the heck of it, otherwise he would be someone we would complain about lol.

Thats because the good rappers never get airplay. All these new bubble gum rappers get the time cause they got a nice beat.
