It seems just like any other 1st person shooting game. The aliens are too messed up, the weapons are strange... I just don't get it.

It's the best FPS on Xbox! It has everything about it right, there is no fault to it, you could not possibly say that something is bad about it! It's also simple layout and great presentation is also important. The story is also engaging and after each level the cut-scenes are just the icing on the cake! The co-op is good and multiplayer makes it a very social game, it also has great graphics!

Have you really ever played it? It is one of the best cause it was basicly the first good 1st person shooter ever made in history, and was basicly released right when the Xbox came out. From that time on everyone was a huge fan.
Its also very very fun to play online :)

it's the Halo controls that people love... they are so intuitive and imbedded in your brain that you don't even have to think in order to play it... character movement just happens naturally. That is why people love it so much is that it imerses you in the game and you forget your sitting in your living room in front of your tv playing a video game

I never played online but the SP was really fun....and it really is one of the best shooters....
