He can make stuff and sell it on ebay. I do just checkout my profile and click on the link to my auction.
I like to do it even though I dont make a lot of money at it(though I am trying) It is like a hobby trying to make more sales every week.
I have a job so I dont need the money I just do it for the fun of it.

is he looking for excitement or relaxation?? blow off steam or create something???
that matters

for relaxation/creativity there is needlepoint (dont laugh- Rosie Greer - a VERY big football player designed and did needlepoint when they were on the road. he even has a book of his work!)

sewing - (any kind)specialty sewing type work often appeals to detail oriented men.

cooking- like sewing the detailing and creativity of the hobby attracts many men (a friend just opened a catering business based on his hobby)

knitting/crochet - and YES men do both - often VERY well

Paint ball (Skirmish), BMX or Dirt bike racing, mountain climbing, fencing (the one with swords), akido, scuba diving, wood working (buy him some tools so he can make you stuff), pottery, painting, writing, reading, joining a golf / football/ cricket / sports club, indoor soccer, basketball, ten pin bowling.... hope this helps. It depends on what he likes though.
