in my computer , if we not attach any cd drive, then cd drive icon is not visible in it, but why it does in case of a floppy drive

Because teh BIOS has not been told NO floppy exists, tehrefore as 1 floppy is "expected" by the BIOS, 1 floppy ontroller entry is entered in registry and hece shows in My COmputer
Simply go to "Device manager" locate the floppy drive, right click and DISABLE
also for "Floppy controller"
