"Please only answer when you know all the anti-virus and their function." wtf?

they're all pretty good. (except people recommend using both Spybot and Ad-aware -- they scan differently.)

try these sites:
http://www.firewallguide.com/spyware.htm
http://www.av-comparatives.org/
and pcworld, etc.

(isn't both Avast and NOD32 resident protection anti-virus software? you shouldn't use two at once, they can conflict.)

If I paid for secuity software I'd go with Kaspersky myself.

Use most of the Anti-spyware programs there, except "Spyware Terminator" -- never heard of it. (I know that's against your "rules" for me to answer then, but you see, when I don't know about something I go and research it myself instead of creating time-comsuming "tests" for others and expect them to answer completely.

Anyway, look up "Spyware Terminator" on this trusty site:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm#products

-- oh yeah, Norton sucks! it's good AV software, but they still suck!
--

Edit: you can use BitDefender8 as an on-demand anti-virus scanner.

I guess I shouldn't get too mad at you, bud. At least you're security conscious and not asking for help getting rid of the 20 some-odd viruses and 200 spywares that are infecting your pc in a couple easy steps (and plz help soon I gotta have my work done in an hour!). lol !!! --- I hate seeing that. Don't know if I should feel sorry for people or think they shouldn't be operating anything more technology advanced than a solar-powered calculator.

EDIT_2: "just rate it from your own mind"
I don't think anyone is going to go thru your list of 17 apps and "rate" every one for you. I spent a little time typing out my answer (and even looking up the "Spyware Terminator" at spywarewarrior.com for you because I felt you deserved to be informed). I provided a couple good links to some trustworthy review sites.

Now you have a piece of my mind.

BTW: the best Anti-spyware app IMO is one you don't even have listed: Webroot Spysweeper. It's a little bulky, but offers thorough protection, eliminating the need for running scans with two or more apps.

...but whatever man.

what a waste of time!

I'm a security software fanatic. I read all there is to know about all kinds of security sofware from firewalls to antivirus to more advanced stuff like sandboxes and behavor blockers on forums, websites, talking to antivirus analysts etc. I do my own testing of practically every product you can think of.

I can tell you any rating someone will give whether personal or from some list is worthless. It all depends on what your citeria for ranking is.
