Ever since 9/11, Bush has used his "war against terror" as an excuse to allow the government to snoop into private citizens phone calls, bank records and who knows what. Why would they not snoop into Yahoo??

I doubt this is a serious question, but ill answer.
1. Big Brother' is a term from a book about a goverment completely unlike this one.

2.snooping requires time and effort and resources. There is nothing private or confidential on yahoo answers so technically it would be completely legal for anyone to 'snoop' here. However there is no chance at all that the federal government would profit in any way so i guaruntee, nobody is 'snooping'.

The snooping done by the federal government was not, i assure you regular joes of the nation. That woudl be silly. It would mor elikely be people with sensitive information or who have some direct or indirect links to suspicious organizations. Take, for example, A recent immigrant from Iraq who happens to be a molecular biologist and begins working for the CDC and makes 3 or 4 emails to the same person in Iraq every day. I could see that getting snopped on. And so what? Why not? so some guy might wind up reading this guy chatting with his cousin. big deal. What if it really was something to worry about? then it IS a big deal, right?

oh yeah, they probably are reading everything. I wouldn't doubt it as they watch everything we do anyway. This is Democracy LOL.
Oh well, I say what I want and I really could care less if Big Brother likes it or not. Anyway, if they've read a lot of my answers on here they'll be knocking on my door any day.
I don't care and I'm NOT afraid

If they don't abuse it! they can use it. Not problem with overseeing things. But I don't believe they are worthy nor wise. So it means.... vote...... and a "no vote of confidence" should be in the count. They never tell you how many people didn't vote, do they?

and do you do anything that would be considered a crime?

as a country we don't have enough people to watch our borders but we are supposed to have enough people to watch every board, blog and website on the planet?

First off you would need to do something that would garner their attention, then you would have to be doing something illegal then you would have to be caught in the act of doing thing illegal thing.

So unless you are actively participating in a crime your worrying about nothing.

And the left accuses the right of fear mongering... pshh...
