Hi all. I am an NRI, currently residing in Australia.
I have been happily engaged for the last 6 months and my fiancee is residing mumbai but born in Kerela. I am currently applying for spouse visa's for her to migrate, but I need to be married to do that.
We are having a traditional style wedding early next year, but I need to get a registered marriage done to get visa applications underway so she can accompany me once we are traditionally married.
My dilemma is I can only leave my workplace for a max of 5 days, so I need to get a registered marriage done in a day or two max allowing for flying time.
-I have heard numerous stories so I seek your advice.
-I have been told:
- We cant have a valid registered marriage in Bombay as she is from Kerela and her passport details have her Kochin address.
-I need to be in Kerela for 30 days prior to lodging a registered wedding in Kochin , which means I need to be there for at least 6 weeks.
Can anyone advice??

Some information’s with you are right but some are incomplete. Firstly one months notice is required is correct, before giving this both of you have to be marking you presence before the marriage officer under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 along with three adult witnesses. Since you say you cannot get married in Mumbai as the address given in her passport is that of Kerala that hardly makes any difference because that’s her permanent address , you both can marry even in MUMBAI if she has some proof of her stay for at least of only 30days before going for the notice to the marriage officer, which definitely she has & must be having some proof as her telephone bill, gas bill, ration card, house leasing deed, job pay spills, bank account that will show Mumbai as her temporary residence. So with such documents regarding proof of age, permanent address & temporary address with passport size photographs of both of you & even the 3 witnesses, you both have to go give a notice for such marriage, wait for a month & get married after this notice period before the marriage officer & get your multicolored (why multicolored as all those colored photographs attached on your certificate make it so) certificate of this marriage that will be entertained by the Australian immigration authorities with open hands & grant visa to your spouse without any legal or otherwise objections.

You donot need to get married now as you can visit India once only for work reasons.
You can apply I-129 F and wait to be approved in Australia and then the petition will be forwarded to Mumbai Us consulate office. They will call your fiance for a interview and issue or decline visa dependng on the proofs you have provided that you two are engaged genuinely.
Once she gets the visa, you can visit India , get married and live happily ever after.
Good Luck.

wager you're fairly new on the job subject. you're being paid to do your job. component of your job is to shop your corporation corporation money. you probably did an excellent job, so which you have been rewarded with some days off. Unles you signed a freelance up front once you have been employed, then no they are actually not legally required to furnish you something. So, be satisfied.

Please tell Your religion and your would be. Then we will plan it clearly. Because there are four types of marriages are common in INDIA. They are Hindu Marriage, Chiristian marriage, Muslim Marriage and inter-caste marriage. For inter-caste marriage only 30days required. For other marriages we can do in one or few days with some more expenses. Before marriage we must plan clearly. Here in Chennai, India anyone can marriage and register it.
