Yes USA has passed it's peak and did so after Vietnam (it is a similar thing to the British Empire after WW! ) The average Yank like the average Brit after WW1 will not see much difference for a while yet. US will survive with all it natural resources it is only political stupidity which will prevent survival.

I think the questioner is a little triumphalist in his question, but should remember that on the whole the influence of US has been better than most so it is quite sad that this influence will diminish. Sadly the level of shady dealings makes the decline inevitable. We are seeing this in UK so I do not think we will have any refugees from US

America is now in serious decline as a world power but it ain't fair to gloat about it because the crass international policies of the USA are the fault of their govt, not the American people. As a historian such power changes seem completely natural to me, we have highly developed technology and can destroy our own nest in a way that wasn't possible before but fundamentals haven't changed.

The world is pretty much a global city now, most Western govts are going down the route of much greater international rapport and parity, imperialistic govts such as the USA and Britain are in danger of becoming redundant powers if their policies don't change dramatically.

You don't have clue about the financial position of the US. You are just buying into the Islamofascist propaganda. The US will be the major player for the worlds economy for decades to come.
Good luck with the new immigrants from Iran.

There are many 1000's of US citizens in the UK and Europe who are embarrassed by the US.

When and if they atack Iran, demonstrating total madness and a lack of balls in the Democratic party, nothing new there, and I repeat again, one dead Iranian chid and its open season on all American soldiers and politicans, many 1000's more will leave the US and head for Europe.

But don't worry Europe, for the intelectuals will come, leaving all the redneck "USA, hey hey hey", which is what they wll be eating in 15 years or less, will all be staying at home in the US.

relies upon on what day you comprehend it particularly is and what day that is. Jhn 4:22 Ye worship ye comprehend not what: all of us comprehend what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. right this moment is the final day of the ceremonial dinner of Unleavened bread. The Passover replaced into final week. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth.

The financial position of America is better today than in the Carter years. We fought back from that, and I do recall many of the same pessimistic viewpoints then as you are stating now. America is still the country they all want to come to. If we are so "done" as you believe, I wonder why they are all risking death to get here?

like the ancient Byzantine Empire, America had its glory days, unfortunately now, the country has gotten so riddled with mis-management and corruption that failure of the governmental system is inevitable.
