well, as the queen herself doesn't actually do the honours list, she just approves it (and i doubt they would change it if she didn't like it, because the government are idiots).

I would certainly not be giving so many people honours, i mean, soon everyone will have one. There was one man who wrote that book, went into hiding and all, but on the news this morning they spoke to a fair few people (and got more emails) saying nobody had actually heard or/read this book, and even if they had, couldn't see how it provided a service to literature.

Many people on there are, basically, tony blairs friends, or who he wishes were his friends, from the days he used to invite pop stars to number 10. They are worthless now, no body cares if you are a knight or obe anymore, because only the arseholes get them, and they do not properly recognise the good work of ordinary people.

famous people should not get them, because part of their job, being a 'celebrity' is surely to give some of their massive earnings to charity, and to promote their sport, or whatever. They should only be for ordinary people who do exceptional things.

The great knights of rock, blues and folk.

Sorry but if they give them to Sir Cliff they can give some to some serious musicians.
