Nothing like the unknown to sap the fortitude from your innards. I went to a fire when I was a rookie child in a cold storage facility. The ammonia refrigerant burned my exposed skin and the cork insulation filled the air with black carbon smoke. It was the old 15 minute airpak days. It took about 5 minutes to get to the fire, five minutes of fire fighting then 5 minutes to get back out to air.
We ran 2 ropes to the fire area. One was followed by firefighters going down. the other was for firefighters coming back up. I thought I was in a narrow cave. Hours later when the fire was out and lights were on, I found I had been in a huge warehouse room. What I thought were rock walls were 50 lb bags of frozen food stacked in rows.
I was never so scared in my life. If I had run out of air, the ammonia would have killed me in minutes.

It's been so long since I've had any I can't say who the last to steal that last piece was but I know there are a couple of people who have helped me get it restored.
