Right this is easy I used to work shift work being in the army sometimes we worked up to 15 hours at a time. First if you are into doing fitness go for a run before your shift then for the first few hours on shift drink plenty of coffee, tea, redbull basically anything with a high caffeine content, do not drink any of this in the last 4 hours of your shift by the time you finish work the caffeine that has kept you going will have worn off and you will feel knackered before going bed have a cup of horlicks or take a couple of calms try to get at least 6 hours kip when you wake you will feel fine.

I would stop using your PC before you go to bed. Avoid caffeine in the afternoon and lay off alcohol too. Make sure your room is dark and quiet, change your sheets regularly. Get some exercise during the day, have a warm bath and hot milky drink before you go to sleep.

Its all about having a going to sleep routine and good sleep hygeine.

Good luck.

try a healthy diet, if you sleep 7 to 9 hrs a night you should be fine your probably missing vitamins or minerals in your diet eat often 6 to 8 times a day small portions and in a week or two you should fell fine, exercise also helps if you just work and come home and work and come home that's not too good either take a walk after supper or any thing join a baseball club, whatever do something

Some people just cannot go into a deep sleep
whilst working nights, there sleep time is to shallow
the slightest noise keeps them on the brink of awakening
you wont even know this is happening to you.
I am one of these people ho cannot get proper sleep
when doing the night shift.
