The formula for area is Length X Width.
The formula for volume is Lenth X Width X Height.

So let's say the perimeter of a square table is 8 ft. and each side is 2 ft.
You would multiply 2x2 to find that the area of the table is 4 sq. ft.

No, that would be cubic feet. Square feet is the result of multiplying length x widrh or length x height etc. For a cube, it has 6 faces. And since each face is a square, you can calculate the area and multiply by 6.

A rectangle of 5 feet by 4 feet will have 5 x 4 = 20 sq. ft area.

Cubic feet is length X width X height
