I believe it can't some from nothing. But it is a trick question because physicists say there was no time before matter. What was created with the big bang was space time. I believe in eternal time and infinite space personally.

God has always existed. He spoke into existance our universe. You have to remember that time is a portion of the fabric of space time. Outside of the fabric of our space time we have no reference to speak of. So always has no meaning there.
The issue of outside our frame of space time cannot be understood for we have reference.
