America can get that 15 % in 1 phone call to Russia, Venz, Africa, or lots of other countries. Or simply Alaska. America needs even less, if it didn't sell the Alaska oil to Japan.
There's no nukes that can hit the 50 united states of America. So why not just let the middle east solve their own problems?
I'm mean, no one votes in Saudi Arabia and they treat their women like dirt - and we're not 'spreading democracy there. Castro's a bigger threat to humanity then Saddem ever was.
btw, is 'national interest' a code phrase for Corporations interest?

In WW II America was attacked, then we Declared War on Japan. Days later, on Germany after Germany declared war on America.
9/11 had NOTHING TO DO W/ IRAQ. Even Pres Cheny and V.P. Bush have stated publicly - so stop saying because of 9/11. This pt is moot.
If it's not for oil (for which we do not need) then why America demanding the 30 yr 'oil contracts' from Iraq?
Who cares if Iran gets a nuke? China has 1. India. None of which can hit the 50 united states of America. So the nuke pt is moot.
If Osma bin FORGETTEN is responsible for 9/11 then HUNT HIM DOWN - America's not doing that. The young men / women aren't dieing to protect the 50 united states of America.

Iran wants to change its oil pricing to the Euro or other domination of currency. They are going to stop taking America money. This is what Saddam did.
Ur being 'scared' w/ the nuke grap. Again, if Iran gets a nuke, who cares - it can't hurt the 50 union states. Besides, lots of Iran is so 'westernized'. They luv American culture.

Because the Axis of Evil: Iran, North Korea, and Iraq were all changing their foreign currency reserves to the Euro and abandoning the US dollar. Fearing a wide-spread revolt against the dollar (Saudi Arabia has demanded the US dollar for oil since there was a deal brokered by Nixon), the US went to Iraq to show people that the US dollar is still king, and if you don't use it we'll bomb you.
Think things cost a lot now? Wait until people stop accepting US dollars for oil -then the real fun will begin.
So the US invaded to force its currency in the Middle East.
It's always had little to nothing to do with oil.

You're a perfect example of a retarded liberal. Exactly what "puppet" regimes are you talking about? We support those regimes that are friendly to the west. We support those that aren't waging war or seeking the destruction of other countries. Back in the day of the USSR, we supported those countries that want to keep their freedom. In the real world, there are times you have to be pragmatic and deal with the lesser of two evils, but any president has to think of what's best for America. As for countries like China and India, it's been communism that has kept them in the dark. Only now that they are freeing their markets and adopting capitalism that their countries are starting to grow. Good Lord, it was the British controlled Hong Kong that became one of the most prosperous places on the planet. It was because they were free and adopted capitalism. Are you saying that Iran is better? Are you saying that we should help support those regimes that promote peace?

A Freedom Fighter.
Will always be a Freedom Fighter.
Since it is not oil?
What do you think?
Ever wonder the union Jack with the Stars and Stripes were those Freedom Fighters from Team Allied forces back in world war two with the Liberation of Freedom back in the past.
Ever wonder why the Third wave of Liberation of Freedom with any major conflicts is out there to solve the mess on what went wrong created back in the past being exposed after the mystery of us-911.

in my view we are there not for oil but to finish what bush 1 didn't finish. second reason is because of isreal our "friend" . even though as a country we might not need the oil they estimate that iraq is sitting on 1/3 to 1/2 of the oil reserves for the whole world and we have to have our hand in everything much like you said corporate interestare are at work here.you are right when it comes to cuba..we should worry about a country that is only 90 miles off the coast of Florida instead of countries that don't want our "help" and are thousands of miles away.

I don't support the idea we are there for the oil, but there is a reason why we should be concern about oil from arab countries. in the 70's Iran cut back their oil production to punish us for our aid to Israel during a war. Even though we don't get much oil from Iran, when tehy cut back in production, Europe had to buy their oil from other sources and pouch oil from countries we do buy from. That sent oil prices skyrocketing. Since we can't cut down in oil use that much and the oil market is tight, a little change can effect the price disporportionately.

Are you listening to the speeches of your president? I thought you are in the Arabic Countries to liberate the people and to give them freedom. Also to wipe-out terrorism and to stop Iran from creating nuclear weapons. Is this reason enough????

Maybe to control who is getting the oil or maybe to ensure that oil companies keep their profit flowing or maybe to make sure that Saudi Arabia's rulers keep ruling, maybe to make sure that Israel is safe etc..

Its about power. Like all wars fought over "religion", in the end its power and control over other peoples that breeds all wars.
