Criticize, not question. . .questioning is good, but calling leaders stupid or idiot or moronic or ignorant or retarded or whatever is pushing it

I can appreciate where you are coming from with your question, however, I respectfully disagree!
# 1, We disagree, because we can!
# 2, We criticize, because we must!
I do not wish to be a 'leader' in our country, because I do not care to carry that kind of burden. I disagree with, and criticize those who continue to bring our country down, and, are leading us in a very negative direction! There is so much nonsense which we have had to put up with, because some very crafty people slipped by and got themselves elected, as leaders. It is OUR responsibility as American Citizens to ensure that Democracy stands! One of the only ways we are able to do this is by pointing out the bad leadership, and ensure it does not continue in the service of our country!
If you are writing about Corporate leadership, not political, then I submit we have far less ability to criticize. AND, if we do not point out the failures of our political leaders, we will be doomed to accept their failures, and have little hope of positive economic growth, and positive direction in this great country!

What would happen if we did not criticize King George III?

Let me tell you this country was founded on people protesting, criticizing, complaining, and revolting. Do you know what the American Revolution, French Revolution, Iranian Revolution is?

What happened to America !? instead of keeping an eye on our leaders we are now complicit with their travesties with our ignorance as their number one weapon to use against the world.

There should not be one moment in the life of an American citizen without the critical, reasonable, investigative, and intelligent critique of our leaders this is the only way in which a democracy can thieve. But as we know this is not so in real life and what we believe to be a democracy is nothing more than a few men corporations dictating public policy through support (campaign contributions)_to politicians (plutocracy).

God save this country from people like..... you.

They funny thing is many will think of what I said as a left-wing nut job. But what is ironic is that people like myself and the corporations + the affluent believe you to be the fool.

"Its typical for the small minds of average people...the only way they know to 'lift themselves up' is by cutting down the people who really are their superiors."

You have just put to vain the deaths of every American solider who has every fought in our name.

Some Politicians are not up to the task of understanding the implications or consequences - with a country like Iraq - America could have consulted HRH Queen Elisabeth - the Royal Family have an overwhelmingly good historical knowledge as Great Britain had a Sound relationship with the Government of Iraq and its people they held the British in high esteem - until the Gulf War started - Politicians in America could have listened to the Generals as I understand there was a plan to Partition Iraq early on in the Conflict - there is a Comand structure of good common sense - one good example 'Storman Norman' - I could - suggest you go to the British Library locale British Museum - you can find the Archive on the internet a good resource centre on Military History - Greek and Roman Military Strategy - you name it even Islamic Art and Cultural Studies ancient and modern History - however to have an understanding of Socialogy and Psychology are very useful study and I am sure University and Military Accademy Library resources are available on the internet - I could say to Politicians to leave the Generals to make sense of the Theater in the War-Zone as they have the Education of Strategy to Resolve Conflict far more credence knowledge and ability - say - than a Politician - the Military Generals understand the Scenarios of the Theater on the Field - Take a look at Britain - the Comander in Chief of the Armed Forces - HRH Queen Elisabeth - and Today as it turns out is HRH Official Birthday Celebration with the Trooping the Colours in Salute to HRH - That is the difference between America and Britain and that is why Britain has such a successful record of Military History - and that is a strong foundation structured in Strategy and Phychology and Socialogy - surely could it make good sense to consult HRH as I am sure HRH would be open to any questions you may have and British Diplomacy is respected throughout the modern world - America could create closer links in the Military Accademy for example - to set up and exchange programs to visit for a period of six-months I am sure British Personnel would be encouraged to exchange with an American Serviceman or Woman - there has be a better - link-up as the Brits really like the American way of life - American Television Networks are very popular and the American media in general has a huge popularity - we are loyal friends - Maybe talk with Gordon Ramsey - the man has Military experience and Served HRH and understands how to Command a good Kitchen that serves up delicious nourishment for any High and Mighty Table at Breakfast in the early morning and the Chef's Cuisine is the Best because you have to - Step- Up to the Plate - Knowledge to do your Job efficiently and with an Honesty of Purpose you have to be Fit for Purpose and the Menu has to be appropriate in proportion to what is required of you and the way you present yourself to the world is of Paramount importance and Stragegy is the Key - you could never have been in the Kitchen - that - the only way is have some understanding -about what you can eat and fill the space in your stomache and you have to be Fit for the Purpose to stomache Fish and Chips - maybe that sounds a bit wooden to you - however Hygene is about wearing Gloves in the Kitchen - when handling Fish from the sea that fly off the platter - at Lunch-Time - anyway I hope you are Hungry to have another Portion of understanding that Progress continues towards a Cleaner Lifestyle Management Policy for a Sustainable Future for Economic Stabilty and Wellbeing for the wider Global Community. Anyone who takes the Flag of Leadership could fall under the pressure in an Uneasy World - it is with Strength and Honourable Company that we become Team Leaders and Team Players are Stakeholders in our shared Destiny of Purposeful Endeavor - God bless America.

questioning auhority when one isn't suitable to be a leader oneself is not hypocritical. people critisize the people in power to keep them in check! just because someone has gained power in society does not make them absolutley right about every decision they make.
are you suggesting that everyone should shut up and put up no matter what the people in power are doing, simply because it's a hard job? gimme a break! maybe you want to be like a herd animal and do what you are told, but i'm don't. i know the leaders of countries and provinces and states and cities are mostly corrupt and not serving the societies they are supposed to be working for (e.i. democracy). they bend over backwards for corporations and make life harder all the time for ordinary people.
BE CRITICAL. QUESTION AUTHORITY.

Any chimpanzee can decide - it's the thinking about the decisions that count.

Well... I cant say I would want to be in their shoes as it were however those that currently lead us (Not just bush I speak also of the democratic controlled houses as well) are for the most part corrupt. Lining their pockets at our countries expense. Consider us to be bosses watching over our employees as they pilfer the till.

Holden, you are a simpleton. Many Americans HAVE BEEN OFFERING solutions. The federal govt is merely to corrupt to listen.

For all those posters who skinny the danger is in simple terms with the aid of fact of Bush, please do a sprint diagnosis. that's the finished middle of what we are that they are against. To think of in 08 that with a Democrat in place of work that is going to all pass away is a fantasy. Islamic fundamentalism's push for Sharia and an Islamic State has come into conflict with conceptions of the secular, democratic state, such with the aid of fact the the worldwide over supported everyday announcement of Human Rights. This conflict centers on following matters: rejection of the equality of ladies and men human beings (i.e. women and men human beings have different roles interior the society yet as human beings the two are equivalent) rejection of the separation of church and state; rejection of some of the religious rights, such with the aid of fact the the main suitable option of Muslims to pass away the religion, at the same time as the the main suitable option to be a non-Muslim in Muslim lands continues to be allowed. previous due intrusion upon human beings's rights using the religious police Rejection of the protection of the rights of non-Muslims. they decide for to have all countries stick to Islamic regulation, no count if or not they decide for to or not. those unwilling to transform could be killed, in accordance to their ideals. as a results of this sharp conflict, fundamentalist Islam is incompatible with contemporary liberal democratic states.

American democracy was built on questioning "those who lead us". If the founders of our country never questioned those leading them (the British monarchy), the US would still be a British colony.

Maybe they are not leading well. If you are the coach of a football team and you perform badly you will be criticised and have your "A" kicked right out of it. Same with anything.

Because it is much easier to criticize than to offer solutions.
