what i have a 1993 laser rs 5 spd non turbo front wheel drive i want to build it for racing and its going to be a HUGE project, i'm gonna get a 3000gt 6 cylinder engine with front wheel drive tranny with the twin turbo, how much woud it be to get the eletrical done and everything else needed for the turbos to work. i asked my dad about this since he has a 3000gt he adivses i just get the turbos with the engine and work with the electrical units for the turbos to work, whats a good estimate on what it would cost?

It aint worth doing as you wont get enough traction with frontwheel drive. Most turbo set ups work best with carburettors rater than injection as there are too many parameters for the electronics to consider, but all ypu will get is uncontrollable wheelspin so get a 400 inch V8 with rear drive and forget Twin Turbo FWD

I'd have to agree there. FWD cars should not exceed 300-350 HP for optimal handling. Go further than that, and you'll get wheelspin and torque steer.

It's a better project to work on an AWD/RWD car.

With enough money and effort you can convert almost anything to anything. I've seen a car that looks just like a Russian Volga, but it's actually a BMW 8-series underneath the skin. The cost is almost a million dollars, enough to buy a couple BMW 8-series AND a fleet of Volgas, but the guy who ordered the custom work done is a Russian oil tycoon and has money to burn. Doubt you have that deep of a pocket.
