I can definately help you with this. Math is my favorite subject.
Let's work this out together.

1. to simplify you distribute the (-) sign all the way through the math expression, and remember the following (neg times pos = neg, neg times neg = pos, and pos times neg = neg) so,
- times +x = -x then - times +3 = -3 therefore, the answer is B) -x-3

2. - times x = -x then - times -7 = +7 the answer is A) -x+7

9. - times -x = x then - times -6 = +6 the answer is B) x+6

Hope you are able to understand this math lesson.

1. -(a+3)
means
-1 multiply a, result: -a
-1 multiply +3, result: -3
so the answer is -a-3, which in ur test is -x-3

2. -(a-7)
means
-1 multiply a, result: -a
-1 multiply -7, result: +7
so the answer is -a+7, in ur test: -x+7

9. -(-a-6)
means
-1 multiply -a, result +a
-1 multiply -6, result +6
so the answer is a + 6, in ur test is x+6

You already have more than enough correct answers. The point of this exercise is how to handle bracketed expressions with a minus sign in front.

Removing the minus sign is the same as changing it to plus. When you make either of those alterations, you change the sign on every term inside the bracket. A minus sign becomes plus, and a plus sign becomes minus.

You already have loads of answers. But I will give you a simple way:-
the first bracket acts as the multiplication sign and we all know that
+*- = -
-*- =+
+*+=+
So multiply the sign before the bracket with all the signs in the bracket and change them if necessary.
If there is no bracket then you won't have to vhange any sign.
