the police did a search yesterday, and i haven't heard anything about the McCanns thoughts/feelings in all this, apart from the anger that was shown in regards to the letter.

why its a silly question?
its a genuine question, i knew i would have to explain myself, i worked all afternoon up to quite late last night, therefore i have not caught up with the news, i just just asking if they have shown any relief , sadness, whatever to yesterdays events.

saturnfive - believe me, if it was my daughter i would know exactly how i would feel, the point to my question is have they released a statement - simple enough and applogies if that wasn't clear

Agree with Jack H on this matter....surely their faith must be surely tested by now, after all its been what, 43 days since Maddie was last seen?
I've got nothing personally against people who need religion in their lives, but surely visiting the Pope and asking for his prayers for finding Maddie alive and well have proved fruitless????
I know this hasn't answered your original question, but it has got me so mad that the McCanns are now saying that their faith is being tested, I surely would have thought that if they had such a strong faith in the first place, then maybe they would question why their daughter was taken in the first place????

"We were extremely disappointed in the publication of the anonymous letter in The Telegraaf (Netherlands) claiming to know where Madeleine is buried," Gerry McCann wrote on a website devoted to the search for Madeleine.
"We were very upset that the credibility of this letter had not been examined and, more importantly, published before the Portuguese police had an opportunity to investigate the claim, and search the area if appropriate without massive media attention.
"We feel strongly that this was an irresponsible piece of journalism and even if it were true is insensitive and cruel.
"One can imagine how upsetting it is for Kate and I to hear of such claims through the media and if every piece of information was published like this there would be nothing else in the newspapers."

I think it has probably been a very hard few days with them, first the letter being published without being investigated first by the police. The police may have called off the search of scrubland, but they perhaps don't want to condone that letter with a response to its claims.

Both Happy and Sad I would think.
Happy she was not found dead, sad that she was not found alive.
I am not sure why you expect you would hear about their feelings on the matter ?
I am far from angry, but I do find the Question a little odd, You MUST know what their views were, if not just think what it must feel like to have your child abducted and then not be found and the answer will come to you in a flash .
I am honestly at a loss to understand why you asked this question ????
Edit.
Patrick you make me Sick.

I would imagine they would be relieved that she wasnt found in this so called shallow grave but still devastated that their little girl is missing.Dont you agree?
Just hope you havent intended to encourage all the sarcastic sick humourous answers with this question bcause thers no need for all of that and i find it disgusting that ppl are using yahoo answers to make a mockery of this case.
well done Patrick , right on cue

Its heart-rending isn't it, Michelle?
Can we even begin to understand poor Kate's predicament?
If the letter is a hoax, her baby is still being horribly abused & if its true, her baby is dead. No win situation. They must be wrecked. Thats why i can't stand the 'stone throwing' mentality that flourishes around here.
Edit: Patrick, you need help...seriously.
