Anyone ovulate in the middle of period? My SO and I had sex on June 9th. I had 2 days of what was a medium period for me then stopped on the 9th so we went ahead and had sex w/o protection. The 10th I started spotting with a light flow later on but I had a boogery (it was like a thick snot booger) glob in my undies. I wasn't sure if it was maybe leftover *** from the night before but it seemed too thick to be to me. I started period back up but only a medium flow. I normally have mostly heavy days but I only had light to medium this time around. I haven't had that since I was in junior high or high school. Today I seemed to have stopped but I am cramping...this would be CD 9. Normally right before I start, I cramp, but thats it. Has this happened to anyone else? What happened? Could I have ovulated mid period? Or do you think is was just leftover from the prior nights activities?

I have been pregnant before about 6 yrs ago. I was rushed to the ER in incredible pain...they did blood tests and came in and told me and my then fiance that I was preggo. Thing is I was on a heavy 2 week or more period and he said that I was a week along. So I would have had to ovulate either right before I started or during right? Anyways we aren't using any kind of method...more like the if it happens it happens method.

Take a pregnancy test. You may have had implantation of the embrio bleeding which could seem like a light period. That happened to me and I never knew I was pregnant until I started feeling strange and nausea set. By the time this happened I had missed a second period and only then did I suspect.

It's possible, but it's very rare to ovulate during your period. It's possible that the blood flow slowed down and ceased for a brief period of time. It is not pure blood that we menstruate, instead it's other secretions along with the blood. Periods are a funny and unpredictable thing. Nobody's ever are the same. See your doctor, just in case.

Good luck.

I'd say that it was probably some leftovers from your regular period. I know Ive had that happen where it stops for a day and then starts back up again.

More than most probably the difference in BC capsules is responsible. Different BC capsules have distinctive hormone stages. If you went wholly off BC it has generally thrown your frame into one more interval. If you switched it's generally concerning the difference in hormones with the distinctive BC capsules. Diarrhea would potentially be concerning the transfer as good, or maybe a twist of fate and simply be a few GI misery.

Sweetheart, you're basically using the rhythm method of birth control.

Do you know what they call people who use the rhythm method? Parents.

I don't know what's going on with your period, but getting on the pill would straighten everything out and make sure there are no bouncing baby surprises.
