don't hide it. He will think you are hiding other things too. Tell him that he has a choice, he can help out or you can hire out. Guess which one he will take.

No, tell him. Hiring an housekeeper is a financial situation and should be a decision made together. I really don't think there would be a problem with it. I had one when the kids were little , we both worked full time and I went to school part time. She came in for 3 hours every Thursday and cleaned the bathrooms and dusted the downstairs furniture, the stuff that was time consuming for me and what a help it was. Do not hire someone to come in at night, it will cost more.

I believe you just answered your own question. A marriage is a union of a man and wife becoming one spiritually, keeping something from your husband is lying and deceiving. Be honest and frank with your husband and let him know that "we" need some housekeeping assistance. But first do some homework on local maid for hire types of services, or even in the classifieds for situations wanted. Agree on somebody coming in once a week for two or three hours. For starters to get a feel of what to expect and what is needed, it may free up some personal quality time also.

the question of right or wrong is a secondary one...
the main thing is that he is going to get the information
as such in a natural way say may be after a week or a month or a year,
and then you will be facing the even like from how ago...why...etc.
sure....
then why to wait for that week or a month or a year...
face right now, that will be easy and will prevent much mis-understanding...
which is sure to arise at that time...
(you will be handing that thing at that time which will be wieghted 10 times then present)
so i advise to do easy things 1/10 th right now,
just explain and make him understand your need and do it..

I say run the idea by him seriously, if he agrees its a good idea then no need to be deceptive. If he doesnt want to, for money reasons, then respect that. If he is just being an a** and wants you to clean the place even if you can afford help, then let it go a little till he changes his mind. good-luck.
