Another division could be: Western brassicas (broccoli), Asian brassicas (Bok Choi), Leafy and salad vegetables (lettuce), Fruiting and flowering vegetables (cucumber), Podded vegetables (peas), Bulb and stem vegetables
(asparagus), Root and tuberous vegetables (carrot) and Sea vegetables (sea grape).
They can also be divided by frost/cold hardiness: Very hardy (leaf lettuce), frost tolerant (carrot), tender (sweet corn) or warm loving (cucumber).
