If the inks are not empty, go to the printer "properties" then the "service tools" or "utilities" and run a head clean (or 4)

If it's an Epson with 1 black and 1 tri-colour cart, use the "chank ink" mode, remove BOTH CARTS, close flap, and turn printer onn, whenn it objects replace inks to force it to purge ink and repressurise lines

You've definitely got a clogged print head here. What happens sometimes is that when you don't use your printer for a while, the ink can dry out and then clog the print head. It should be fairly easy to give them a cleaning. If you tried the "print head" cleaning utility on your computer and it still won't work, you're going to need to manually clean the heads. How you do this depends on the kind of printer you have. I'd suggest checking the "support" area on your printer manufacturer's website for specific info on cleaning.

If you just changed the ink cartridge, make sure you removed the thin piece of invisible tape they use over where the ink comes out.

If you did not just replace the ink cartridge, and you have not used the computer for awhile and now the ink doesn't flow and print on the paper.

Take the ink cartridge out, get a soft cloth and dampen it with some warm water, and clean the area of the ink cartridge where the ink comes out of. Put the cartridge back in and see if it prints.

Your printer head is probably dry. Try going into the printer properties and perform a maintenance. Most printer software should come with this option. Hopefully, this will work. If not, then you might need a new printer.

Try running a calibration on the printer. You should be able to access this through printers and Fax's in you control panel. Right-click on the printer and select properties there will be a tab called maintenance and there will be a calibration button there.
