There is a red x on PCI Device under Other Devices in my device manager and I dont know what it is. I'm pretty sure its not the graphics card because thats installed and working fine. As far as I know thats the only PCI device in there! It doesn't seem to be affecting my system but its bugging me all the same. Anyone know what it could be?

I have that problem on my usb hub from time to time a restart takes care of it every time

Did the problem just start? Have you installed any other hardware? If you uninstall it, does it come back? If you have an older motherboard, it might need a driver, but then again, when did it happen and what changed. Look in the resources tab of the device properties and see if there is a conflict either in memory address or the interrupt.
If you boot in safe-mode, a bootlog is created listing everything that did or didn't load with error descriptions. The log file is usually put in the c:\ directory.
