In the 1920 Presidential elections, two vice presidential candidates (Calvin Coolidge and Franklin Roosevelt) turned out to be more suited to be president than the presidential candidates. They were polar opposites. My question: Did they ever meet, in person? If they did, are there any photos anywhere of their meeting(s).

No but seriously terrific question. In the dozens of books that I have read about FDR and perhaps a half dozen books about Coolidge, I don't think the matter was ever mentioned.
There is an odd time shift at play. FDR was Assistant Secretary of the Navy under Wilson and his selection as Vice Preseident on the Democratic Ticket was Unprecendented.

On the campaign trail it is doubtful that they met. Their roles were suppose to be low key. The two Presidental Candidates were Quite Prepared to make all the noise needed. Actually James M Cox would have made a good President. And while Coolidge gained the White House, FDR was struggling with Polio, and climbing through New York City and State Politics.
Wracking brain and checking Internet and have to say No, as odd as it may be that two dynamic men would not meet, somehow someplace - - - but cannot find a single incident and do not recall any from the aforementioned books..

Oddly enough there was an exhibit at the Coolidge Library see this link..

"""This special display at the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Library, commencing in mid August, 2007, will chronicle the tragedies and triumphs of Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Jazz Age and in the time of the presidency of Calvin Coolidge through primary source historic materials from the collection of the Franklin D. Roosevelt American Heritage Center Museum. This joint exhibit between the FDR Center Museum and the Coolidge Presidential Library and Museum in nearby Northampton, Massachusetts, will serve to compare and contrast the lives and times of these two giants of American history during the 1920s: beginning when both FDR and Coolidge faced each other in the election of 1920 as their parties' respective vice presidential candidates, to the inauguration of FDR as Governor of New York and the retirement of Calvin Coolidge from the national stage in 1929.""

One note of irony - - - if Theodore Roosevelt Jt had won the New York Governiorship in 1924 over Al Smoth then perhaps there would have been no FDR victory in 1928. Ted Jr shook hands with Coolidge and that is on the record along with photos.

Peace
PS and when I think some more, for an article about an FDR exhibit at the Coolidge Library to say absolutely NOTHING about the two ever meeting speaks loudly.
