Hmmm....
Let's see...
Let's look at Lebron's Stats
Game 1 - 14 pts, 4-16fg, 7 reb, 4 ast
Game 2 - 25 pts, 9-21fg, 7 reb, 6 ast
Game 3 - 25 pts, 9-23fg, 8 reb, 7 ast
Game 4 - 24 pts, 10-30fg, 6 reb, 10 ast

TOTAL: 88 pts, 32-90fg, 28 reb, 27 ast
Finals avg: 22pts, .35%fg, 7reb, 6.75 ast

So, you're right, lebron was greater than Kobe....
huH?

That wasn't even a star-quality material.
That was a player who wants to be like Magic Johnson in making his teammates better, but was a gilbert arenas in shooting field goals...

Yes, Lebron was greater, that's why his team choked.

Making teammates better was the key to a championship ring, right?

How about Steve Nash? How many champ rings does he have?
Jason Kidd? John Stockton? These are the greatest point guards in history because they made their teammates better.
Yet, they have no rings at all....

Maybe you're right.
Maybe.

Because, his nice guy image deflects the fact that he's a ballhog.

Every play had to run through him, nobody else allowed to create.

I think someday the people must really define the word ballhog.

It doesn't matter if the ballhog decides to shoot or to pass, as long as he gets to "touch and hold" the ball on every play that's what ball hog really is.

Kobe and MJ is more like a trigger-happy type of guy, meaning like to shoot.

I really thought it's OK to be a ballhog as long as the person creates the right play or made the shot.

Well, it certainly does appear that we have a ball hogger here. Poor LeBron. I blame whoever calls the offensive plays.
That man needs to be posting up. He is too big and strong to run him as the point guard. After watching LeBron in the playoffs no wonder Magic Johnson's name comes up. He handles the ball a little to much around the perimeter like he can consistently knock down that shot. I feel the Cavs look for LeBron to do too much and the rest of his team does not get into a rhythm, just like Kobe and the Lakers. But the thing you like about LeBron is he does try to look for teammates. Put that man in a better position to attack offensively until he improves on his shooting touch and he will not appear to be a ball hog.

If Lebron had an career ending injury tomorrow then I think it would be hard to say that he was the best of all time. Lets just say that Lebron game dropped suddenly then that might impact his greatness. That why I think it is hard to say that he is the best of all time when players like MJ and other play pretty much a full career and pretty much was on top when they left. by the way I do not count MJ stint at Washington as part of his legacy. I think it is no question that Lebron by the end of his career will be in the top 5 if not the top 10 if he stays pretty much injury free and if he wins a couple of more championships and lets just say he wins another mvp or two then I think it would hard not to put him in the conversation as being the best ever.

No one accussed him of ball-hogging because his teammates could not deliver. He is usually accussed of distributing the ball too much especially at crunchtime. He had some help during the series with Detroit but nobody rose to the occasion during the NBA Finals.

He attempted around 22 field goals a games, that's a lot, but he also averages more than 6 assists a game.

if you measure greatness by rings
Horry has 7, 5 of them as a bench warmer
MJ has 6, so Horry must be a better player right?

LeBron at 22 carried his team. As far as shooting
percentage SPURs had the best defense in the NBA,
some may say because they got away with a lot of
fouls in particular bowen.

As far as key to a champions ship is has always been
great players, not just one great player.
Jordan had Pipen, and Rodman, and as centers had
Carthwright, Horas Grant, as shooters he had Paxon
LeBron had a rookie Gibson, which also did not shoot
well against SPURs.

So yes making your team mates better and having
more than one great player helps. Not to mention
bigmen, and luck does not hurt either.

Thank you finally a guy in here that knows something about basketball....im sick of people calling kobe a ball hog when his team sucks period. Kobe has worst teammates than Lebron and yet Kobe is the one being called a ball hog? Steve nash...kidd...john....yeah they make their teammates better but its not like it helps any....look at the spurs tony doesn't avg crap for ast but they still killed the cavs. When the lakers won it was all about Kobe and Shaq they didn't have a PG giving out ast. Its not about a teamplayer is about having at least 2 superstars on a team.

to be honest, lebron needs to be a ball hog PERIOD. it is the only way his team will "supposedly" succeed in the finals. ever wonder why the so-called experts criticized james when he passed the ball to varejao in game 3? basketball should have been a team oriented game but in the case of the cavs, they stinks. a hopeless case. so why not instead give the ball to james all the way. the cavs will be more than willing. it's pointless to argue. isn't it enough to have them now considered as the worst team to ever landed in an nba finals?

Actually, Lebron has been called a ballhog. If you type it into the Search for questions box, you'll see for yourself. But Kobe's still--pardon the expression--the king.

great question.. i hope the people who said hes not a ball hog because he's teammates suck arent the same people who say kobe is a ball hog...

Is this a rhetorical question?

People didn't accuse Lebron of ball-hogging, because he had no one with which to share it.
