The rest of the world trades with Cuba, why not us?

Because they have been our enemy for years and have done nothing to cooperate with us. The USA would not benefit even slightly by trading with them. If they want to improve their economy they need to play ball with us.

No matter what happens as long as Castro is alive the boycott will continue.

Why do liberals always call for economic sanctions instead of war then want to end them as soon as they start working.

Well as the United States, we've had a few ... "run-ins" with Cuba, especially since the 1960's. We haven't ever liked each other and I simply don't see us becoming allies anytime soon as long as Fidel Castro is still in power.

Its a joke to me because the reason the embargo is in place it helps Fidel, and it Helps the neo-cons get reelected.
