Its WRONG to Drink and Drive let alone HIT and RUN.But mediacorp actor Christopher Lee did BOTH! Worst, one victim had to amputate his toe due to the accident. He(Chris) did not even bother to render any help after hitting the 2 victims.(is like let them die/fend for themselves on the streets) How inhuman is that!Thank goodness the victims survived. After what he had done,he got only 4 weeks jail sentence! Many expected a min of 6 to 12 months will be more justifable. Now many ppl will think its not such a big deal (Drunk Driving, Hit and Run)following what Christopher got.Have the government done enough to drive a stern message to the public that acts like these WILL NEVER be tolerated?

One named "Kevin K" replied that the jail term was harsh and sugguested it might be better if he can do coummunity services instead.FYI , this is Singapore NOT America.I wondered will Mr Kevin K still says the same if the victim(e.g his love ones) hit or even killed by someone who's Drunk, ran away from the scene. So spare a thought for the innocent victims...

I totally agrees that 4 weeks jail was indeed too short after what he had done.Thank god the 2 victims survived and not killed. What kind of a human being will ever do that? Knowing he's drunk and not fit to drive,he did and eventually hit and run after knocking down 2 ppl. What if infants or children is the victims? To many he should be given at least 12months jail term ! The punishment should be at least 6 months to 1yr jail sentence so that it can also serves as a wakeup call for those who think they can get special treatment just because he/she is a good actor! So what if he's one of Mediacorp's top actor? Christopher Lee not only disgraced himself but also his family too.He should learnt his lesson (hopefully)
The governement should ensures the MESSAGE should be brought across to the attention to the public before some innocent lives were lost due to such irresponsible, cowardly acts.

First off, the alcohol might not have been the only factor in the accident. His age, poor eyesight or another unknown condition might have been more responsible for the accident. Alcohol certainly was a factor, only if there is evidence that he was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

Second of all, it was an accident. It was not Mr. Lee pulling the 9 iron of his golf bag to attack a photographer like some other famous actors. Rather, he used bad judgment and (we assume) did not even realize that he injured people. Why would he stop if he did not realize that he was involved in an accident?

Finally, the sentence might seem unfair to somebody younger, but 12 months in jail could be a life sentence for somebody his age. It would be better to have Mr. Lee do extensive community service rather than jail time.

The media is all over the place and you're baying for his blood just because he was 'famous'.
In india, do you know there have been at least five hit and run accidents where rich drunk males ran over not one or two but five or six people just this year?
One case known as the BMW case involved a fat cat, and the case dragged on for more than 10 years during which all the witnesses turned hostile ..
the point is [a] it's bad [b] it hapens everywhere [c] the rich will always get preferred treatment [d] such acts will always happen over and over again [e] either you make manufacturing of liquor a crime (stupid act) or put up with driniking and driving accidents (pragmatic).

this is quite unhappy and disgusting how this form of crime is going unpunished,if the driving force had owed funds to a pair government branch he could have been jailed, yet for taking the existence of a 4 year previous he walks unfastened...the regulation of the land needs to alter quicker quite than later there are too lots of those scum bags getting away with homicide...you may desire to ask your self whether it were a politicians son that he killed might the end result have been the comparable
