A resounding yes! "Politically correct" has taken over and heaven forbid we offend anyone. New values are being pushed so that we dont seem like a society that is unfair, but it just doesn't work.

They're not being ignored, they're not even acknowledged or implemented by the generation of parents raising today's children. There's nothing taught to be ignored!
I'm obviously generalising as this comment does not relate to everybody.
Also, the media and slutty celebrities don't help the young and vulnerable which in turn makes it a difficult job for parents today.
But then again, each generation, not just this one, seems to have shown a decline in values.

I don't think so; its just that people express themselves and want to lead a life unbiased and on their own accords which doesn't mean older and wiser values are ignored;but modified accordingly to survive in this new world!

Older, wiser people are trying to enforce younger people (the so-called videogame generation) to embrace old values. Younger people fight back, choosing to turn their backs on most of the old values.

Not by all, but by many....not by me, that is for sure :)

*I am in the process of simplifying my life because I'm tired of all the nonsense that goes on in this world. I don't want to have any part of it, so I am sticking to my values and getting rid of all excess in more ways than one.

Yes, there are too many know-it-all punks who didn't have a Dad around to kick their as$. Dad's are a hell of a lot more important than the world has realized.

yes!!!! the younger generation always think they have the right answers. then the older generation tend to forget the questions.
