I have crumple zone but is there any more?

What kills you is the change in velocity (or being hit by objects), so to save you they try to increase the time it takes to comes to a stop. Air bags are an example. Seat belts. Non shattering glass. They basically make the whole car to 'crumple'.

I guess you are only worried about damage to the car and not to the occupants. Else you would have mentioned seat belts, air bags, rear view TV monitors, monitors that won't allow car to start if driver's alcohol content too high, etc,etc.
