I cannot find the fabric I need. I'm looking for glittery-chiffon...how can I do this myself?

What could you use to wet and sticky the fabric so the shaken glitter would stay, but would completely dry afterward...

Is this possible?
I've been trying to find shimmery glittery chiffon in light blue, but I can't!

You can buy glitter pens - these pens come in colors or clear. I used one on a sweatshirt and it worked great. Although I would advise you to try it first on a scrap of chiffon to see if the glue shows when it's dried.

You can buy glitter fabric paint, but it does make the fabric stiff when dry, especially if you want to saturate the fabric with glitter. You could, however; use little dots of glitter here and there on your chiffon yardage. This is called "whole cloth embellishment" and I've done it when I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. When you use fabric paint be sure that some of the paint goes through the fabric to the other side, this wat the acrylic base of the paint will be surrounding the fibers and it will be less likely to flake off. It will still be a little stiff where the glitter is, but far les stiff than saturated fabric. By the way, I've had miserable luck with pre glittered fabrics, the glitter always flakes and falls off. I've had better luck with glitter paint. I find my glitter paint at Michael's craft store.
