the ceiling fans don't use much electricity at least that's my opinion, plus we have regular fans going at all times and in the summertime,we also use a/c also,we keep the a/c on 68 and it stays pretty comfortable in here my powerbill runs me 90.00 a month and we've already had tempertures up to 98 degrees these last 2 weeks and i even sign up with my electric company for them to take 4.00 and add it to my bill each month to help out with the Going Green.also my waterbill is only 13.90 every month and they're 4 of us staying here.

That is a good plan, ceiling fans use a lot less electricity than
and A/C unit does. Your electricity provider can probably
tell you just how much less and should have other energy
saving ideas, check out their web site, or type in energy
saving tips on your search engine, you will get a lot of hits.

Fans are a great way to keep the electricity use low.... we turn the fans on and then open the doors and it keeps the breeze flowin! It works well with the AC too.. it wont kick on as much because its helping keep it cool

Only run the fan in the room your occupying, otherwise they do little to "cool" at all. They may mix the air within those empty rooms but the majority of their cooling effect comes from the fans air coming in contact with your body.

very little, like maybe less than $66/year run continously, but they can save up to 40% off your cooling bill because it makes the air feel cooler allowing you to raise the temp on your AC. So there is an energy savings.

I have not noticed a major difference in my electrical usage during the times I run mine. I like it because it contributes to the "atmoshphere" (read ambiance, not layer of air surrounding the planet).

Just make sure you are running it the right direction for the time of year.

I have heard but I am not sure of the facts that ceiling fans can lower your cooling bills by like 40% or something....seems like it was on a Lowe's commercial......so take that with a big grain of salt!LOL

keep the fans on medium , high uses 2x the energy. We use ours all the time, and they only time the bill jumps is when the A/C is on.
