Put the cloths in the dirty laundry as soon as you are finished wearing them. Hang cloths up that are not dirty. Fold blankets and put them on a shelf, drawer or under bed. Dont eat in your bedroom, or if you do, take the trash and put it where it belongs, The trash can, take the dishes to the sink.
Make your bed everyday. Take a towel and dust off everything at least once a week. Sweep or Vacuum as needed.

How to keep it clean: Everyday before you go to bed, take 15-30 minutes to pick stuff up. Put the trash where it belongs, the clothes either in the hamper or fold and put away, if you have worn the item and plan on wearing the it again--fold and put in a pile on the dresser. That should keep the room in order and under control. Remeber, food left-evers will draw all kinds of creepy crawlys you don't want. Take care of that at the time. Don't let yourself drop it where you are. Remember, it takes 21 days to make a habbit. SO start now and you will be healthier and happier for your efforts!

Its as easy as cleaning as you go. It only takes 20 seconds at the longest to throw something away or put your dishes in the sink or dishwasher. It only takes five minutes to fold your clean clothes to make room in your dirty clothes hamper. It only take ten seconds to hang up a worn, but clean piece of clothing, instead of throwing it on your desk or chair or something. A 1 minute process can net you an amazingly comfortably clean and made bed every night. 5-10 minutes a day can keep you room nice and tidy and once a week do the big stuff, vacuum, dust, laundry(clean your sheets).

I feel you though, because you may be hurried one time and next thing you know, you're room is beyond a quick pickup. Just keep on it.

The ONLY way to keep your "living" space, whether it be room, house or office, is by putting everything back in it's proper place when you don't need it any more. You take off your t-shirt... it will either go for washing or back in it's storage place. You dirt a glass, wash it on the spot. From what I gather, you sound like you're living alone so you don't have tons of dishes and clothes to tidy.

It only takes a second to fold or hang up something. Make a habit of it and you'll how different your life will be. Whenever your eye catches something that is out of place take a second to put it where it belongs.

To start out you need to make sure everything has a permenant place to be kept. Go through your room and put everything in its place for the first time. Now...every time you pick up or use something, never put it down any where but in it's place when it's not in use. This way you"ll never have to look for lost objects;your room will stay neat and you"ll spend very little time cleaning. Imagine just a little dusting and sweeping and your finished. It makes life a lot easier when your not always looking for lost shoes or your favorite jeans.

It depends how much space you have; it's hard to keep a small room tidy when you have nowhere to put things.
Keep a laundry hamper in your room and dump your dirty clothes in it, food is a no-no though - clean it up!

well.....take the time to pick up. Put your clothes in a hamper and do your laundry regularly so it doesn't pile up. If you take clothes out, try them on and don't want to wear them, put them back...

Don't eat in your room....
etc. etc. etc.....
Make it a habit and it won't be hard
