Practice isnt all..... what you lose can tell more than what you gain.
sometimes Life teaches us to accept things beyond our control.
that there are things we can never have despite our hard-work.
one best example of this is Roger Federer. He's been #1 for straight 3 years now(ATP ranking), but lost the French open for the last 3 years as well. you can always try your best, & you may think youve got what it takes to get what you want...
but sometimes, it takes acceptance for someone to know that not everything you put your heart & mind to will be accomplished..
simply because everything that is never meant to be, will never be.
yes you can try & try until you succeed...
but success is not just getting what you want,
but learning from what you will never have.
then move on... gracefully..
:-)

You have to have some talent to start with, but I'll presume you
have that.
But over-eagerness and impatience can seriously cramp your style as well. Being over focused on a result can prevent you from learning and absorbing skills.
So maybe try a little less hard next time and set yourself one step at the time attainable goals instead of focusing on the desired perfect end result. You will see encouraging improvement.
Find an experienced person in what you want and look ,listen and learn, use him as a coach. if this is applicable.

Sometimes working hard actually works against you. Working hard focuses all of your energy in one direction and you often miss the big picture. The trick is to work smart, not hard. This is why a few people seem to get ahead without seeming to put in nearly as much effort as their peers.
By the way, practice does not make perfect. Practice makes Permanent! If you practice mistakes, you will always make mistakes. If you practice doing something the hard way, you will not only be less successful, you will wear yourself out doing it!

If you have never tried sewing in your life, you may pick the thread and needle up andtry it out, do your best, and it won't be good enough for anyone to pay good money for it. However, if you work at it, seek guidance at getting better, and gain wisdom through experience, not only will you have practiced it, but have gotten better and made your best better. So, depending on what skill you are trying your best at, and just how practiced you are at it, your best may not be good enough.

The journey is more important than the destination. Of course to have a journey you need to have a destination.
What I'm saying is that the results are not as important as the process. Keep trying and things will work out fine.
Besides you learn more from failures than you do from successes.

yeah, talent. Move on to something and find the thing that you are good at. Ability to persevere and do hard word alone is a great skill.

how do you practice? you have to perfect your practice to perfect the outcome. The opposite is true. when you practice to imperfection that is the outcome you can logically expect...its not practice makes perfect....its perfect practice makes perfect. Do you have a coach?

Well, practicing is important, but so is failing, getting up, and trying again until you actually do something.

give up on being perfect. no one's ever achieved it, neither will you.
but some people pretend to
do the best you can and appreciate your own efforts and time spent doing it

it is not that your best doesn't come out but the fact is that you become blind to it because after having put so much of effort you just want it to be outstanding and nothing less than that.....
