My best friend told me that he loves me! I love him but just as a friend, in fact I love him as a brother, I don't know what to do, I don't want to hurt his feelings. I think that he is confused because he just broked up with his girlfriend, but he denied it.
I wonder if is really posible to have a friendship between woman and man.

apparently, he is in search of love, and he really wants sum1 that he knows will always be there for him. Which would be you. I agree with you, he sounds like he is confused, but the best thing i can think of is:
make a sacrifice for him and go out with him until he realizes he was just heart-broken and needing love
OR
let him off easy with ur own way-
or tell him that u want whats best 4 him, but u don't believe that u are the answer and some other lucky woman deserves his love more than u.

Yes it is possible to have a friendship between a woman and a man, but sometimes you must expect that they may fall in love with you or vice versa, it's natural. He's your best friend so you guys should be able to discuss anything and everything as you see fit. Let him know that you love him (don't mention the brother part, that will cut him like a knife, so don't say it) but that you care for him as a friend and you are afraid that the relationship you share now might be ruined if you cross that line. Just be gentle and not lose your best friend.

Hey, don't worry.
Don't ignore him,but don't lead him into thinking that you too love him.In a few day's time he'll probably come back to normal (if breaking up with his g/f was the reason).
On the other hand, it is possible that he broke up with his g/f because he realised that he loved you. If that is the case, you try to gently tell him about your feelings,without hurting him or even without giving him hopes...

I would just let him know that you value his companionship as a friend to much to take a risk like that. Yes women and men can be friends.

I told him that I loved him, but not in that way. I told him that there were many more fish in the sea and that he'd soon find the one.

Low change but just break it to him and let him suck it up like a man. What won't kill him only makes him stronger.
